I hope you all are having a great start to 2018! We have been busy here in room 28. On the 12th we spent the morning making blankets for the kids at Gillette Hospital. The kids made the best cards to go with the blankets as well. In math we have started working on graphing. Yesterday we graphed eye color in our room and they all learned that brown is a dominate eye color. Last week we started working on inferring in reading. This week we are finishing up our realistic fiction stories so we can begin our research unit next week. Research unit is a popular one! Next month we will have our winter party on Valentine's Day. If the kids would like to participate in passing out valentines they can decorate a bag or shoe box to bring in for valentines to be put in. The kids can also bring in valentines to hand out. I will send home a list with names closer to the day, we have 26 kids. We will also be going on our first field trip next month to the Science Museum!
If you would like to donate to our classroom we could use any old stationary or envelopes that you don't want/need anymore, snacks for the kids who forget and disinfecting wipes. I hope you all stay warm and have a great day!
